Practice 1 – 1st (Fastest Lap: 1m02.7153s)
Practice 2 – 4th (Fastest Lap: 1m02.7362s)

Fabian Coulthard - No. 12 Shell V-Power Racing Ford

Recap: The day started extremely well for Fabian Coulthard and the Car No.12 crew, with their tuning work earning second fastest in Practice 1. Those efforts continued across the day, with some changes made throughout the second session taking the balance in the opposite direction to what was required. Time during the session was lost whilst the team reverted to the original set-up, and the result provided little time for Coulthard to lay down a lap in the closing minutes.

Coulthard Quote: "The car needs to better, it needs to be faster, I need to be able to replicate the time I did in Practice 1 this morning, and I couldn't do that so we've got some work to do overnight before qualifying tomorrow."

Scott McLaughlin - No. 17 Shell V-Power Racing Ford

Recap: McLaughlin opened his Pukekohe account with the fastest time in opening practice, before backing it up with a solid 4th in Practice 2. Tuning work continues on ultimate qualifying pace, however the Car No.17 crew are confident in their race pace after work throughout Practice 2. He will return to the track for qualifying tomorrow at 12:25pm local time.

McLaughlin Quote: "Car is OK, needs to be a little bit better. We went through a number of things, and I think we have a really strong race car, we just need to tune it up for qualifying, so we can get right up there. There's a bit in me and a bit in the car, it wasn’t the best lap from me so we'll focus on that tonight and work on it."
