Recap: Ryan Blaney led the way for Team Penske in qualifying for Sunday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas Motor Speedway with a lap of 27.467 seconds in the No. 12 Menards/Richmond Ford Fusion. After making a second run in the 15-minute opening session, Joey Logano moved the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford to the seventh position. Brad Keselowski made one run in the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford, turning in the 11th fastest time. Paul Menard turned the 19th fastest lap with the No. 21 QuickLane Ford Fusion. Qualifying was halted after round one due to lightning in the vicinity of the speedway.
