Recap: The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship teams battled the high-speed turns of Road Atlanta during Friday afternoon’s qualifying session for tomorrow’s running of the historic Petit Le Mans. Earlier in the day the final practice session gave the teams one more shot to find the perfect balance for qualifying and the race. Following the practice session, Ricky Taylor was chosen to qualify the No. 7 Acura Prototype with Juan Pablo Montoya getting the post in the No. 6. Taylor finished the time trials with the fifth fastest lap with Montoya not far behind in eighth.
