Notes: Joey Logano led the way for Team Penske in qualifying for Sunday afternoon’s Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Logano’s lap of 30.356 seconds, 177.889 mph was good enough to claim the 10th-place starting position. Ryan Blaney (13th) and Brad Keselowski (19th) advanced to Round 2, but were unable to advance to the third and final round. Teams will have two practice sessions on Saturday to work on race setups.
