Notes: 

There were no issues with either Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski or Ryan Blaney during the first practice session for the Coca-Cola 600. Each of the three Team Penske drivers focused on qualifying runs during the 50-minute session Thursday afternoon.   

Logano led Team Penske in qualifying, earning the seventh-place starting position, followed by Blaney (19th) and Keselowski (21st). Next on-track activity for the Cup series at Charlotte is practice on Saturday morning (there is no track activity on Friday).
