Notes:
Ryan Blaney led Team Penske in qualifying Saturday evening at Martinsville Speedway. Blaney will start sixth with a lap of 19.487 seconds, 97.172 mph. He was followed by Joey Logano (10th) and Brad Keselowski (15th). All qualifying times remain unofficial until after tomorrow morning’s technical inspection.
There were no issues with the Team Penske cars in MENCS practice today at Martinsville Speedway. Logano led the team in first practice early in the morning with the fastest overall speed and was followed by Blaney (seventh) and Keselowski (21st). Logano was the only driver in the group that made a mock qualifying run.
In the final practice, Keselowski started off in qualifying trim and posted the top speed in the session, which was held under sunny and much warmer conditions. He was followed by Blaney (second) and Logano (18th).
