Today marks Castroneves second-career Verizon P1 Pole Award at Long Beach (2001).

This is Castroneves’ 10^th career pole award on a street course.

Castroneves last pole win was at the MAVTV 500 at Auto Club Speedway on August 29, 2014. This is his first of the 2015 season.

Castroneves has now 42 Verizon P1 Pole Awards in his career, fourth on the all-time list.

Castroneves will be seeking his second career win on the streets of Long Beach after winning from the pole position in 2001.
