WINNING POLE NOTES

• Today marks Power’s second Verizon P1 Pole Award at Toronto. It is the third-consecutive weekend in which he has started a race from the top spot, including the first race of the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit presented by Quicken Loans on May 30.

• This is Power’s 22^nd career pole award on a street course circuit.

• Power’s last pole win was at the Firestone 600 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 6, 2015.  This is his fifth of the 2015 season.

·Power has now 41 Verizon P1 Pole Awards in his career, breaking a tie with Rick Mears for fifth on the all-time list.

·Power will be seeking his third career win on the Fort Worth, Tex oval.

·Team Penske has won the Verizon P1 Pole Award in 12 of the past 13 Verizon IndyCar Series races dating back to The Milwaukee Mile last season, missing only the Indianapolis 500 pole award during that time.
