• · Today’s Verizon P1 Pole Award marks the second-career pole position for Simon Pagenaud. It is his first as a member of Team Penske.
   
• · Pagenaud’s first career Verizon P1 Pole Award came in the Shell and Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston on June 28, 2014.
   
• · Pagenaud has started outside the top-five positions only once this season.
   
• · Team Penske has won the Verizon P1 Pole Award in 12 of the past 13 Verizon IndyCar Series races dating back to The Milwaukee Mile last season, missing only the Indianapolis 500 pole award during that time.
