MOORESVILLE, N.C. (February 25, 2016) – Team Penske and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced a multi-year extension of their partnership today that will see HPE’s involvement with the team and IndyCar driver Simon Pagenaud increase, beginning with the 2016 season. HPE will serve as the primary sponsor for Pagenaud and the No. 22 Team Penske Dallara/Chevrolet in at least five events in 2016. The company will also continue to be an associate sponsor of Team Penske’s No. 2 and No. 22 Ford Fusions driven by Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano, respectively, in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Pagenaud, who joined Team Penske before the 2015 season, will race the No. 22 Hewlett Packard Enterprise Chevy in the Verizon IndyCar Series events at St. Petersburg, Detroit, Texas, Boston and Sonoma in 2016. The company will also continue to be an associate sponsor for Pagenaud and the No. 22 Team Penske car for the remainder of the season schedule.

As a part of its extended partnership with Team Penske, HPE will focus on multiple projects including application and software development, information security, networking technology, integrated devices and workflow optimization.

“It is always exciting when you have a partner that not only does a great job highlighting their brand but also works hard to help the team become better prepared both on and off the track,” said Roger Penske. “That is an aspect of our relationship with Hewlett Packard Enterprise that makes it very special. Their partnership helps make our companies and our race team more efficient and more effective.”

Hewlett-Packard Company joined Team Penske in 2015 in conjunction with its best in class technology relationship with Avaya Communications as featured with the No. 22 IndyCar driven by Pagenaud last season. Prior to partnering with Team Penske in racing, Hewlett-Packard Company partnered with Pagenaud for a total of 33 races and two race winsduring the 2012 and 2013 Verizon IndyCar Series seasons.

“We look forward to building on our longstanding relationship with Penske,” said John Whinham, vice president, Enterprise Services – Americas, Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “Penske is a valued partner who shares our vision for how technology can help accelerate business in today’s ever-changing dynamic market environment.”

Pagenaud will pilot the No. 22 Hewlett Packard Enterprise Team Penske Chevrolet in the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series season-opening race on Sunday, March 13 at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. The race will be televised live on ABC beginning at 12:30 pm ET.
