Notes:

Will Power led Team Penske's three-car outfit in qualifying for Sunday's Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.  Power, who has won pole for this event six of the last seven years, made it through to the Firestone Fast Six and had to battle a heavy mist, which dramatically slowed times in the final round.  Power was on the pole until the last car passed the timing line at the checkers, dropping him back to second.  Simon Pagenaud fell victim to the increasing heavy mist in round two and nearly looped his Menards machine in turn one on consecutive laps, forcing him to settle for the 12th position. Defending series champion, Josef Newgarden, wasn't able to make it to the fast 12, finishing in the 7th position in his group during the first round.  That will put him 13th for tomorrow's Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
