Notes:              

Will Power survived a slight scrape against the wall with his No. 12 Verizon Dallara/Chevrolet at Long Beach to qualify second for Sunday's Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.  All three Team Penske drivers – Power, Simon Pagenaud and Josef Newgarden – qualified for the Firestone Fast Six with quick times in each of the first two rounds.  Power then went out and set the fastest time early in the final six minute session, but was bumped off the pole late by Alexander Rossi.  Pagenaud and the No. 22 DXC Technology Dallara/Chevrolet was able to put down a lap fast enough for third just as time expired.  Newgarden, last week's winner at Phoenix, also brushed the wall with his No. 1 Verizon Dallara/Chevrolet during the final session and ended up sixth for Sunday's race.
