Hornish Jr. to Start 20th in Nationwide Race at Dover

DOVER, Del. (May 31, 2008) – Sam Hornish Jr., driver of the Penske Racing No. 12 Penske Truck Rental Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, qualified in the 20th position for today’s Heluva Good! 200 at Dover International Speedway.
One of 14 competitors required to qualify on time, Hornish posted a fast lap time of 23.856 seconds at a speed of 150.905 miles per hour. The effort secured the Penske Truck Rental Dodge the 20th starting position.
“The Penske Truck Rental Dodge was tight overall in practice yesterday,” said Hornish. “I’m pleased with our qualifying effort today and look forward to my first NASCAR race at Dover this afternoon. I feel we will be competitive and the extra seat time will be invaluable to our Cup Series efforts tomorrow in the Best Buy 400.”
The Heluva Good! 200 will air live on ESPN2 today beginning at 2:30 p.m. EDT. The race will also be broadcast live on MRN at 3:00 p.m. EDT.
