Allgaier To Start 26th in Ford 300 Nationwide Series Race

November 15, 2008

HOMESTEAD, Fla. (November 15, 2008) – Justin Allgaier, driver of the Penske Racing No. 12 Penske Truck Rental Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, captured a 26th-place starting position for the running of the Ford 300 on Saturday, November 15, 2008.

Allgaier, the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series Champion, will be making his fourth Nationwide Series start for Penske Racing in the No. 12 Dodge this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. This is Allgaier’s second attempt at the 1.5-mile track just north of the Florida Keys.

“We were listening to some of the other team transmissions during qualifying,” said Allgaier. “They all were loose but by the time we went out for our run the track had gotten tight.  We may have adjusted for it a little too much.  Not really the starting position we would have liked to have in the Penske Truck Rental Dodge today but I think we’ll be able to free it up in the race and hopefully bring home a solid finish.”

Broadcast coverage of the Ford 300 is slated to begin at 4:30 p.m. ET, Saturday, November 15, 2008.  Live televised coverage on ESPN2 begins at 4:00pm ET.  MRN Radio coverage begins at 4:15 p.m. ET.
