Allgaier To Start 24th for Tonight’s Event in the Music City

LEBANON, Ten. (June 6, 2009) – Justin Allgaier, driver of the No. 12 Verizon Wireless Dodge Charger for Penske Racing, will start Saturday’s 300-mile event at Nashville Superspeedway in the 24th spot.
The team went out 25th to make their qualifying attempt on Saturday afternoon. The 22-year old Illinois native ran a time of 30.453 seconds which put him on the outside of the 12th row for start of the Federated Auto Parts 300. This is Allgaier’s second NASCAR Nationwide Series start at the 1.33-mile concrete speedway. The first came earlier this season, where the Verizon Wireless Dodge wheel man qualified in the ninth position.
“We fought a loose car all the way around the track in qualifying today,” said driver Justin Allgaier. “[Crew Chief] Chad [Walter] has a good game plan, and the whole Verizon Wireless Dodge team has been working really hard to execute it. We’ll have a great car tonight in race trim tonight.”
“Nashville is not about where you start but where you finish. We have 225 laps to get to the front.”
The Federated Auto Parts 300 can be seen live later today on ESPN2 with coverage beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as Sirius Satellite Radio, channel 128.
