Justin Allgaier on driving at Watkins Glen International
“Road course racing is a blast, but is foreign to me. I have spent my whole life turning left and it is a little strange to go the other way. I ran [and won] my first road course race last year in the ARCA RE/MAX Series (Thunderbolt Raceway at New Jersey Motorsports Park) and hopefully that experience will transfer to our Verizon Wireless Dodge this weekend. [Crew chief] Chad Walter and I have tested this car at Road Atlanta a couple of times preparing for this weekend.  We feel like we are bringing a package that is fast but stable. I just have to keep my car on the track all day.”

Crew chief Chad Walter on racing at Watkins Glen International
“Watkins Glen is a really great race track. Justin [Allgaier] has done a great job during all of our test sessions learning the intricacies of road course racing. He is so smooth in the transitions and great car control.  Every time we have tested he has picked up speed. This race is all about survival. If you keep your nose clean all day and make it to the end of the race you are more than likely to have a strong result. We know what we have to do and have to go out and execute.”
