Justin Allgaier on driving at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
“I am looking forward to this weekend. I have heard great things about both the city of Montreal as well as the track itself. We have focused a lot of our testing efforts this year on road course racing. I feel that after Watkins Glen, I have gained a significant amount of knowledge about road racing. As a driver, it is a completely different animal. I have spent my entire life turning left, so it is weird to have to make the change. It is cool to watch drivers like Boris Said, who have had success at both road courses as well as ovals. We are excited about our prospects for this weekend and feel as if we are capable of producing a strong result. We just need to hit our marks all weekend.”

Crew Chief Chad Walter on Racing at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
“Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is a very technical track. It is a lot more technical that Watkins Glen. You have to set up each corner and really have to be smooth all day. It reminds me more of a street course than a road course. There are really high speeds and hard braking which takes a toll on the cars and drivers. I was pleased with Justin’s first road course race. He had a solid run and learned a lot about road course racing. A fifth-place finish for the Verizon Wireless Dodge would be tantamount to a victory for our team at this particular track.

“Montreal is a great city. I have spent time in the city, but have never been there to race. It is a place everyone should have on their ‘bucket list’ as a place to visit. It is beautiful in the summer time as well as the winter months.”
