GOODYEAR, Ariz. (November 14, 2009) – Justin Allgaier, driver of the No. 12 Verizon Wireless Dodge Charger for Penske Racing, will start Saturday’s 200-lap event at the 1-mile Arizona track from the 11th spot.
The No.12 team went out 14th to make their qualifying attempt on Saturday morning. Allgaier, pilot of the Verizon Wireless Dodge, ran a time of 27.352 seconds only .480 seconds off the pole position. This is Allgaier’s third NASCAR Nationwide Series start at the one-mile speedway. Earlier this season, the 23-year old crossed the checkered flag in the eighth spot.
“The car was a bit too loose to really challenge for the pole,” said Justin Allgaier after his qualifying effort. “We feel like the track will tighten up for the race so [crew chief] Chad [Walter] had to make the call to free the car up a little this morning. We will start towards the front, which is quite a bit better than the spring, so I am confident we will have a solid day today with our Verizon Wireless Dodge
The Able Body Labor 200 can be seen live later today on ESPN 2 with coverage beginning at 4 p.m. ET. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as Sirius Satellite Radio, channel 128.
