Team 42 Racing News and Notes of Interest
• Parker Kligerman, driver of the No. 42 Team 42 Racing Dodge, will make his third career NASCAR Nationwide Series Start this weekend in the Stater Bros. 300 at Auto Club Speedway.
• Kligerman made his professional racing debut on the Fontana Road course driving a Formula Renault in March of 2006.
• This past weekend in Daytona Kligerman was set to make his first start of 2010 for Team 42 Racing, but NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying was rained out so the 19-year-old rookie racer was not able to compete in the Drive4COPD 300.
• Kligerman is scheduled to race in at least the next four NASCAR Nationwide Series events, driving for Eddie Smith in the Team 42 Racing Dodge.
• Kligerman made his debut for Team 42 Racing last November in the NASCAR Nationwide Series 2009 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The talented development driver had a solid outing in his second career Nationwide Series start driving the No. 42 Ironworks Dodge. He completed 198 laps of the 200-lap event and finished in 25th place.
• On October 3, 2009, Kligerman had a memorable Nationwide Series debut behind the wheel of the No. 22 Penske Truck Rental Dodge Charger at Kansas Speedway. Kligerman won the pole for the Kansas Lottery 300 and led the first seven laps of the race before earning an impressive 16th-place result.
• Kligerman finished second in the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series championship, as he came up just five points shy of the series title. He won series Rookie-of-the-Year honors and led the circuit with nine victories as he posted 14 top-five and 18 top-10 finishes in 21 races.
• Kligerman, a native of Westport, Conn., is in his freshman year of college at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is planning a course of study in Business Marketing.

"Well, after circumstances out of our control stopped us from racing at Daytona. I look forward to Fontana, as it is a sister track to Michigan, where I won last year in ARCA. With that said, I think Team 42 Racing has put together a great car. I will be looking to have a great result and hopefully I will be fighting for the win! After losing some ground at Daytona because of weather. I look forward to be being the top rookie at Fontana and stamping our mark on how serious we are about the Rookie-of-the-Year battle!"

"We are looking forward to going to Fontana to compete at the Auto Club Speedway for several reasons. I think Fontana will fit Parker's driving style very well. He adapted quickly last year to Michigan in the ARCA car and Fontana is almost identical to MIS. It has long straightaways, you carry a lot of speed into the corners, which don't have a lot of banking and therefore, car control and footwork with the brake and throttle are very important. That's right up Parker's alley.
After not getting a chance to show what we had at Daytona, we are ready to start another week as soon as possible. We felt like we had a good car at Daytona, and were fast enough to qualify well and race well. With the nasty weather postponing qualifying and not having the car owner points or luck of the draw to get in the starting lineup, our week came to an early end. I feel bad for the guys who gave so much effort to the entire cause, but good things come to those who are persistent and patient."
