Keselowski Takes Pole for NNS Race in Las Vegas

February 27, 2010

LAS VEGAS, NEV. (February 27, 2010) - Brad Keselowski put the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Charger on the pole for this afternoon's NASCAR Nationwide Series Sam's Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Drivers Justin Allgaier and Parker Kligerman will start 13th and 21st, respectively.

Keselowski was the 30th driver to make a qualifying attempt on the one-point-five mile oval. He posted a new track record lap of 29.122 seconds at a speed of 185.427 miles per hour.

"That was awesome! I'm so proud of my Crew Chief, Paul Wolfe, the Discount Tire Dodge team and Penske Racing," said Keselowski. "I'm awful at qualifying these cars, just look at my track record. I'm about the worst there is (laughs). What an accomplishment for this team. We just got out there, pulled the belts tight and ran it as hard as I could. I didn't breathe for about 60 seconds. Awesome lap. A brand new race team. I really thought that the lap that Harvick laid down was untouchable and we beat it. Awesome job by everyone back at Penske Racing. This is an awesome feat."

The Sam's Town 300 will air live on Saturday, February 27 on the ESPN2 television network beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on PRN Radio.
