Keselowski Takes Second Consecutive NNS Pole of 2010

March 20, 2010

BRISTOL, Tenn. (March 20, 2010) - Brad Keselowski put the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Charger on the pole for the second consecutive NASCAR Nationwide Series event. Keselowski will lead the field in this afternoon's Scotts Turf Builder 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Penske Racing teammate Justin Allgaier qualified in the 30th position.

Keselowski was the seventh driver to make a qualifying attempt this morning on the half-mile oval. He posted a fast lap of 15.405 seconds at a speed of 124.557 mile per hour.

"It was a good qualifying effort," said Keselowski. "We have a great race car here. Our Nationwide cars are exceptionally strong. We've had a bad-fast Discount Tire Dodge here at Bristol since we've unloaded. Paul (Wolfe, crew chief) and the guys have given me a great race car and it's really fun to drive. It just powers through the corners and picks up the throttle really fast down the straight-aways. We've got some momentum here and it really feels good.

"Bristol is just one of the places that comes naturally to me and I've been fortunate to have good cars. Sometimes tracks just come to you and Bristol is one of those tracks. Having a fast car always makes the driver look good. I've been lucky to feel good inside a fast car and that's the key."

Parker Kligerman, required to qualify for today's event on speed, did not make the field after brushing the wall during his qualifying run.

The Scotts Turf Builder 300 will air live Saturday, March 20, 2010 on ABC at 2 p.m. ET. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on PRN Radio.
