Keselowski Qualifies 12th for Nationwide Opener

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (February 18, 2011) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger team led the Penske Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying effort for the Drive4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway on Friday afternoon.
Keselowski recorded the 12th-fastest lap during the qualifying session. He toured the 2.5-mile oval in 50.097 seconds, or 179.651 miles per hour. Penske Racing teammate Sam Hornish Jr. will start 17th.
"We knew after they reduced the plate size that we didn't have a pole-winning car,” said Keselowski . “The smaller plate really affected our engine package and kept us from running a fast lap. But we know it will race well. I think we can put this Discount Tire Dodge Challenger in Victory Lane."
The Drive4COPD 300 will air live at 1:15 p.m. ET on ESPN2 on Saturday, February 19th. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio.
