Hornish Qualifies 12th for the Aaron’s 312 at Talladega

TALLADEGA, Ala. (April 15, 2011) – Sam Hornish Jr. and the No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Dodge Challenger team led the Penske Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying effort for the Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Superspeedway on Friday morning.
Hornish toured the 2.56-mile oval in 53.792 seconds, or 178.019 miles per hour. Penske Racing teammate Brad Keselowski will start 16th in the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger.
"The No.12 Alliance Truck Parts Dodge was strong today in qualifying. We ened up 12th, which is really good, but here at Talladega it doesn't really matter where you start. Here it is more about team work and finding a drafting partner to work with in order to move your way up to the front."
The Aaron’s 312 will air live at 3:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2 tomorow afternoon. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 128.
