Keselowski Qualifies Third at Auto Club Speedway

FONTANA, Calif. (March 24, 2012) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger will start third for the Royal Purple 300 at Auto Club Speedway. He toured the two-mile oval in 40.653 seconds, or 177.109 miles per hour.
Penske Racing teammate, Sam Hornish Jr., will start the race from the 11th position.
“I ran something big on my first timed lap,” said Keselowski. “I had no idea that it did that much damage to the splitter. Without that I still don’t think I would have had anything for the 18. He put down a heck of a lap. But this Discount Tire Dodge Challenger chassis has a lot of wins under it. I think we can get another today.”
The Royal Purple 300 will air live at 5:00 pm ET on ESPN. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite channel 90.
