Hornish Qualifies 8th for the Sargento 200

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (June 23, 2012) - Sam Hornish, Jr., driver of the Penske Racing No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Dodge Challenger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, qualified eighth for Saturday afternoon’s Sargento 200 at Road America.
Hornish turned a lap of 134.457 seconds around the 4.04 mile road course at an average speed of 108.383 miles per hour. Penske Racing teammate, Jacques Villeneuve qualified fourth in the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge.
“The Alliance Truck Part Dodge wasn’t quite as good today as it was yesterday - we were just a bit too free during our qualifying run, said Hornish. “The good news is we know where we are and what we have to do to the car for the race. We have a plan for the race that we feel pretty confident about and we are well positioned to have a strong result.”
The Sargento 200 coverage will begin at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN on Saturday, June 23. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
