Hornish Qualifies 6th for FW Webb 200 at New Hampshire

July 14, 2012

LOUDON, N.H.  (July 14, 2012) - Sam Hornish, Jr., driver of the Penske Racing No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Dodge Challenger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, qualified sixth for Saturday afternoon’s F.W. Webb 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Hornish turned a lap of 29.267 seconds around the one mile speedway at an average speed of 130.140 miles per hour. Penske Racing teammate, Brad Keselowski will start from the pole position the No. 22 Snap-on Dodge.

“The Alliance Truck Parts Dodge was good in qualifying – I really couldn’t ask for any more out of the car, though I probably could’ve drove it in to the corner a bit harder than I did, but that is one of the things we have been working on lately – not over-driving the car. We were good in practice yesterday and with as strong as our Penske pit crew has been lately – we should be in great shape for the race today.”

F.W. Webb 200 television coverage will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN on Saturday, July 14. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
