Blaney to Start 20th at Kentucky Speedway

SPARTA, Ky. (September 22, 2012) – Ryan Blaney and the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger team qualified in the 20th position for Saturday’s Kentucky 300 at Kentucky Speedway.
Blaney lapped the 1.5 mile track in 31.514 seconds at 171.352 miles per hour, during the Saturday afternoon qualifying session; Penske Racing teammate Sam Hornish Jr. qualified third in the No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Dodge Challenger.
“The car wasn’t exactly where we wanted it to be,” said Blaney. “The Discount Tire Dodge was good in practice yesterday and I know that we can get it back there for the race. We have 200 laps to work on the car and I’m confident that the guys can get it done.”
The Kentucky 300 will air live at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday on ESPN. Race coverage will also be broadcast on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM Satellite Radio Channel 90.
