Hornish Qualifies Fourth at Phoenix

AVONDALE, Ariz. (November 10, 2012) – Sam Hornish, Jr. and the No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Dodge Challenger team qualified fourth for Saturday afternoon’s Great Clips 200 at Phoenix International Raceway.
Hornish wrestled his Penske Dodge around the one mile oval in 27.263 seconds at 132.047 miles per hour during Saturday morning’s qualifying session. Brad Keselowski will start sixth in the No. 22 Discount Tire Challenger.
“We are really happy with our qualifying effort today,” said Hornish. “We have been very good in race trim, but we weren’t expecting to do this well in qualifying. We just have to go out there and race smart today and we have a shot of finishing up front in our Alliance Truck Parts Dodge.”
The Great Clips 200 will air live at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN Saturday. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM Satellite Radio Channel 90.
