November 17, 2012
HOMESTEAD, Fla. (November 17, 2012) –Ryan Blaney and the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger team qualified 20th for Saturday afternoon’s Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Blaney piloted his Penske Dodge around the 1.5 mile oval in 32.806 seconds at 164.604 miles per hour during Saturday morning’s qualifying session. Sam Hornish Jr. will start 11th in the No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Challenger.
“The Discount Tire Dodge was not exactly where we wished it would be during qualifying,” said Blaney. “The No. 22 was fast during practice yesterday and we’re looking to get out there for 200 laps. It’s been a great season with Penske Racing and I’m hoping we can bring home a strong finish for the year.”
The Ford EcoBoost 300 will air live at 4:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2 Saturday. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM Satellite Radio Channel 90.
