HOMESTEAD, Fla. (November 17, 2012) – Sam Hornish, Jr.,  and the No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Dodge Challenger team qualified 11th for Saturday afternoon’s Ford EcoBoost 300 at Miami-Homestead Speedway.

Hornish drove his Penske Dodge around the 1.5 mile oval in 32.604 seconds at 165.624 miles per hour during Saturday morning’s qualifying session. Ryan Blaney will start 20th in the No. 22 Discount Tire Challenger.

“We had a decent qualifying lap in the Alliance Truck Parts Dodge,” said Hornish, “I hit the apron a little bit and that caused me to slide up the track. We have a strong race car though and we feel good heading into the race today. This is our last shot to finish up front this year so we plan to give it our best. We’d like to offer our thanks to all the fans, to Dodge and all of our great partners for supporting us this year.”

The Ford EcoBoost 300 will air live at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN Saturday. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM Satellite Radio Channel 90.
