Hornish to Start 13th at Bristol Motor Speedway

BRISTOL, Tenn. (August 23, 2013) – Sam Hornish Jr. and the No. 12 Snap-on Ford Mustang team qualified in the 13th position for Friday night’s Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Hornish piloted his Penske Ford around the 1/2 mile oval in 15.557 seconds at 123.340 miles per hour during Friday afternoon’s qualifying session. Brad Keselowski will start 15th in the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang.
“There was a little more in our Ford Mustang than that lap time shows,” said Hornish. “I over-drove the car during our qualifying lap, and that definitely hurt us a little. We feel pretty good about our Snap-on Ford though, and we will do our best to take care of our equipment tonight and be up front at the end of the race.”
The Food City 250 will air live at 7:30 p.m. ET tonight on ESPN. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM Satellite Radio Channel 90.
