THE RACE REVIEW
• Brad Keselowski and the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang team began the ServiceMASTER 200 at Phoenix International Raceway from the fourth position.
• The 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) champion routinely turned the fastest laps of anyone in the field, eventually moving up to the second position at lap 63.
• After the first pit stop of the day, Keselowski radioed to crew chief Jeremy Bullins that his car was very loose. A two-tire pit stop at lap 102 that included a track bar adjustment improved the handling of the Discount Tire machine.
• Unfortunately, Keselowski was not able to put his improved Ford Mustang to use as he was hit in the left rear by the No. 2 of Brian Scott at lap 142, sending him into the outside wall.
• The No. 22 Ford sustained heavy damage to the rear of the car. Several trips down pit road for repairs resulted in the loss of one lap to the race leaders.
• Keselowski raced his way into position for the “Lucky Dog” award, which he was awarded at a lap 148 caution period.
• With a beaten and battered Discount Tire Ford, Keselowski was able to finish the race in the 19th position. The team now holds a four-point lead in the NNS owner’s point standings with one race remaining.

OBVIOUSLY NOT THE FINISH YOU WERE LOOKING FOR. WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE 2 CAR?
“Yeah I really hate it for Mr. Penske and all the guys back at the shop. There are some things you can control and some things you can’t. The Discount Tire Ford Mustang was so fast today. I would have liked to have played it out and finished that race. I don’t know if we had a shot at running with Kyle (Busch), with a few adjustments maybe, but there was nothing I could do. We had a good run on the outside of the 2 car and he just got loose and came up into my left rear. Obviously nothing intentional there and I appreciate Brian (Scott) coming up to me after the race.”
