Keselowski Scores Third Pole of 2014 Season

July 12, 2014

LOUDON, NH (July 12, 2014) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 22 Hertz Ford Mustang team will start from the pole in this afternoon’s Sta-Green 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Today’s qualifying effort represents Keselowski’s 17th career NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) pole, his third of the 2014 season and his fourth NNS pole here at Loudon.

Keselowski had to make a second run after his first effort left him fourth on the scoring pylon. On his second run in the final round of qualifying he ran a lap of 29.230 seconds at a speed of 130.304 miles per hour to earn the top starting position for today’s race.

“We had to take a second shot at getting the time we needed to get the pole, but we got it done,” said Keselowski. “This No. 22 Hertz Ford Mustang team gave me a fast car which makes my job a lot more manageable. Track position is important here, and that first pit-box is nice too. We’ll go out there and do our best to finish the day where we started it.”

The Sta-Green 200 will air live today on ESPN2 at 3:30 pm ET and it will be broadcast on PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
