Recap: Brad Keselowski and the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford team qualified 13th, had a top-seven car most of the night and rallied for a solid third-place finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday evening in the Drive for the Cure 300. The No. 22 Ford Mustang qualified an uncharacteristic 13th  after the team was sitting in the 12th position in the second round of qualifying with just seconds left when they were bumped and did not advance to the final round. Early in the 200-lap event, Keselowski reported that the Discount Tire Ford had poor ride quality and that he was struggling on corner entry and exit. Crew chief Greg Erwin called for several chassis adjustments throughout the night to help improve the performance of the Mustang. The team was able to capitalize on a couple of front-running cars taking themselves out of contention and moved up to third place with just under 50 laps to go in the race. Keselowski held off a hard-charging Daniel Suarez to finish the night in the third spot. The strong finish vaults the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford team to a commanding lead in the owners' point standings,  82 markers over the No. 60 car of Roush-Fenway Racing.

Quote:  "We probably had a top-five car at best tonight, but the Discount Tire crew executed well and did not give up. We did a good job to make the most of what we had, caught a break and made strong late-race restarts. It was a championship effort and a big points night for the team."
