Recap: Brad Keselowski and the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang team – the three-time defending champions of the NASCAR XFINITY Series Owner’s Championship – had an uncharacteristic day in the Boyd Gaming 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon. After qualifying in the 15th position earlier in the day, Keselowski and crew chief, Brian Wilson, could never wrap their arms around the ill-handling machine. Wilson made big adjustments throughout the event, electing to remove a spring rubber in the left-rear spring on the first pit stop of the day among other changes. Unfortunately for the team, at lap 81, Keselowski radioed that he had developed a big vibration in the left rear of his Ford. A loose wheel was discovered after making a four-tire pit stop, but damage had been done to the wheel studs and, just a few laps later, Keselowski had to return to pit road with another loose wheel. This dropped Keselowski two laps down to the race leaders, effectively ending his chances at a top finish. The former series champion crossed the finish line in the 15th position.

Quote:  "This Discount Tire Ford Mustang team doesn’t have these days very often, but every team has had to endure one like this. Unfortunately we aren’t sure what the issue was today. I am confident we will figure it out and will be back competing for wins in the XFINITY Series very soon."
