Recap: Brad Keselowski and the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang team fought hard to secure an eighth-place finish in Saturday night's U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway. Keselowski made the trip from Pocono Raceway in time to qualify the Ford in the fifth position after Austin Theriault practiced the car for both sessions on Friday. The race began with Keselowski fighting a car that was tight in the center of the corners, but loose on entry and exit. A competition caution at lap 41 brought Keselowski down pit road from the fifth position and allowed crew chief Brian Wilson to make air pressure and wedge adjustments to the Discount Tire machine to help his driver. When the action resumed at lap 47, Keselowski noted that his car was turning better, but he was looser on entry and exit. As the race moved past the halfway point, Keselowski tried to move his racing line around to gain speed but the loose-handling condition never came around to where he could do so. The 2010 series champion and three-time Iowa winner was still running inside the top five after the final pit stop of the day at lap 158 of the 250-lap event, but was unable to hold his position over the remaining laps and crossed the finish line in the eighth position. The result marked Keselowski's seventh top-10 finish at Iowa in seven career starts.

Quote "We were just off tonight with the Discount Tire Ford and we aren't exactly sure why. Everyone on this team is putting in the work and it will turn around. We were just very loose at the end of the race. Iowa provides you with opportunities to move around to where your car is the best, but we weren't able to do that tonight."
