Recap:  Alex Tagliani won his fourth NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) pole position, his sixth pole in 10 career NASCAR races and his third pole for Team Penske as he led Friday afternoon qualifying for Saturday's Road America 180 Fired Up by Johnsonville in the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang. The veteran Canadian road course racer finished among the top three in all of his on-track sessions Friday at the four-mile, 14-turn classic road circuit as he posted the third-fastest time in both practice sessions and clocked the second-quickest lap in first-round qualifying to advance to the second round pole shootout. In his last NXS race for Team Penske at Road America in 2014, "Tag" also won the pole and wound up finishing second in a thrilling battle to the finish in a mix of wet and dry conditions. With rain possible on Saturday, Tagliani, who won at Road America in Indy car competition in 2004, will lead the field to the green flag looking secure his first victory in the XFINITY Series and with Team Penske.
