Recap: 
For the second consecutive year, Acura Team Penske will lead the field to the green in the BUBBA burger Sports Car Grand Prix at Long Beach. This time it was Helio Castroneves in the No. 7 Acura ARX-05 Prototype that secured the top qualifying spot with a track-record run of 1:11.332 seconds around the venerable street circuit. This is Castroneves’ third career IMSA pole position, and his fourth pole run in five years at Long Beach to accompany his three consecutive INDYCAR pole positions from 2015-2017. Juan Pablo Montoya, who won the first pole position in Acura Team Penske history for last year’s race at Long Beach, will start just behind his teammate in the third position in the No. 6 Acura ARX-05.
