Gold Coast, Queensland, 23 August 2016:  The MAN Truck and Bus brand was first seen on the No 17 DJR Team Penske Ford at the 2015 Sydney Motorsport Park SuperSprint round, and makes a welcome return as naming rights partner of both the team's Ford's in 2016.

Coinciding with a new model release, MAN Truck and Bus will use the event as a prelude to the launch of the new D38 in early October. The addition of the MAN D38 to the range is the first time that MAN Trucks will offer a 15 Litre truck to the Australian market. The new MAN D38 is targeted at the long haul segment of the market and is specifically tailored for B-Double applications. The new truck will offer the full suite of renowned MAN essentials including fuel efficiency, engineered safety and market leading comfort for long haul work.  

"The MAN Truck and Bus brand is once again the naming rights partner with DJR Team Penske at the Sydney Supercars Championship round," the President of Penske Transportation Group International, Randall Seymore said. "With the expansion to two cars in 2016, we have taken the opportunity to showcase the brand as we prepare to launch a new model in the Australian market."

Scott Pye, driver of the sole MAN entry in 2015 added, "The MAN livery is very special to all of the guys at the team as it was featured at our first podium for DJR Team Penske in New Zealand last year. It is great to have them back on board."
