Fabian Coulthard - No. 12 Shell V-Power Racing Ford
RECAP: Coulthard dominated Race 3, taking the team’s third win of the weekend. He led from start to finish, and had the pace to manage the gap to second place man Jamie Whincup in a display of his Albert Park pace. He received constant information from his engineer, and used that to take the win. He has another front row start for Race 4 tomorrow, and will be aiming to make it four in a row for the team.
QUOTE: "I got away early at the start, and I had Phil on the radio telling me the gap, and his (Whincup’s) times versus my times. The information that I was getting was awesome. That meant I could manage the gap. But being the competitive bloke that I am, I feel like we’ve detuned the car a little bit for that one, and hopefully we can get it back for race four. The guys at Shell V-Power Racing Team have given us an awesome car, it’s a credit to them all, they’ve done a fantastic job and we just need to keep building on it for the rest of the season."
Scott McLaughlin - No. 17 Shell V-Power Racing Ford
RECAP: Scott had a solid day, starting the race third, and finishing in third. He tried to get by Whincup at turn 1 on lap 1, however pulled out so he didn’t contact his teammate and leader Coulthard. He then settled into a solid rhythm, and pushed to consolidate his second place in the points for the weekend.
QUOTE: "The car was really good early, and I thought I had Whincup’s pace, but we just lost our way a little bit. We managed to stay in front of Mostert, which was good. Starting last tomorrow, so we’ll try a few things and I’ll just have to come through the field and have some fun."
