Fabian Coulthard - No. 12 Shell V-Power Racing Ford

Recap: Celebrating his 35th birthday at the circuit today, Coulthard worked through a comprehensive testing program with his engineering team. He focused largely on race pace in the opening session, and first part of Practice 2. He set his fastest lap of the day very late in the session, after the chequered flag had been waved.
   
Quote: "It was a good day, where we stuck to our plan. We tried a few things and then we put together a good lap at the end there. The team have given me a great car yet again, and it's all up to me to maximise it."

Scott McLaughlin - No. 17 Shell V-Power Racing Ford

Recap: McLaughlin opened the day with the fastest time in Practice 1, showing good pace in race trim on old tyres. Like Coulthard, he and his crew turned their focus to qualifying pace in the second session. Unfortunately, McLaughlin didn't get to the start line before the chequered flag came out, so didn't get a flying lap in at the end of the session.

Quote: "The car feels really good in both race and qualifying trim. It's a shame we didn't get to have a run late where the track was the best. The team has given me a great car, and we have another practice session in the morning. We'll have another crack then."
