New Number for Coulthard in Townsville
July 1, 2019
GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA – Iconic Australian condiment brand Three Threes will utilise their relationship with the Shell V-Power Racing Team to help celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary during this weekend's Watpac Townsville 400.
Fabian Coulthard’s Shell V-Power Racing Team Mustang will bear the number 333 in place of its regular 12 as it races around the Reid Park Circuit in Far North Queensland’s largest city.
Three Threes Condiments and the Shell V-Power Racing Team will also celebrate the event in a number of other ways, working in conjunction with Supercars on a range of activations in the Townsville community.
The biggest of these will be the grand prize of a fishing trip on the Great Barrier Reef alongside Australian motorsport legend and Shell V-Power Racing Team co-owner Dick Johnson.
The weekend will also see another milestone reached, with Coulthard to start his 400th Supercars race on Sunday.
Three Threes is a brand synonymous with high-quality, Australian-made products. Owned and operated by the McAlpine family since 1919, Three Threes supplies condiments, spreads, beetroot, pickles, sauces and their famous MightyMite to supermarkets across the country.
Their branding is displayed across the front splitter and rear wing end plates of both the Shell V-Power Racing Mustangs of drivers Coulthard and Scott McLaughlin.
Three Threes Managing Director Michael McAlpine said that the company was proud to celebrate its 100th anniversary with the help of the Shell V-Power Racing Team.
“We’re a very proud Australian company and are delighted to be working alongside an incredible organisation like the Shell V-Power Racing Team,” McAlpine said.
“2019 marks 100 years since my Great Grandfather Stanley McAlpine started our family business, and now the fifth generation of the McAlpine family is involved in the business with my son Tim.”
Johnson said that the relationship between the two companies is built on a shared history of family ownership, respect and proud Australian roots.
“I’m extremely proud of the history of my team, and even prouder when we’re able to partner with great Australian companies like Three Threes,” said Johnson.
“Celebrating their sensational history with some great activities in Townsville is going to be very special, both for the team and for the McAlpine family. I’m really looking forward to it.”
